On Sunday, January 26, Lyn Baranowski (OG), Edrienne Brandon (OB), and Wesley Brandon (OF) won first place at the 3rd Annual MBA Marketing Case Competition held at Rice University in Houston, TX. The competition (which started on Friday the 24th) featured a HBS Marketing case on Centra Software, and the competition was sponsored by Pennzoil, Quaker State, Exxon Mobil, Coca-Cola, Riviana Foods, and Shell Oil. Other participating schools included Kellogg (2nd place), Yale, Rice, Berkeley, SMU, Carlson, University of Chicago, and Michigan State (3rd place).
On Saturday, February 1, Lyn Baranowski (OG), Michael Bor (OG), Charu Juneja (OD), David Leopold (OG), and Jeff Norton (OG) won first place at the 13th Annual Babcock MBA Marketing Case Competition held at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. The competition (which started on Thursday Jan 30) featured a case on the partnership between Coca-Cola and the NCAA; the competition was sponsored by Coca-Cola.
Other competing schools included MIT (3rd place), Carnegie Mellon, Michigan State (2nd place), University of Chicago, USC, UT Austin, and Wake Forest. Last year, a Harvard team (comprised of Lyn Baranowski (OG), Edrienne Brandon (OB), Wesley Brandon (OF), Jeff Norton (OG), and Sheeba Philip (OD)) won the same competition.
