The month of January was a full of fun and exciting events for all partners of the HBS Community. The HBS Partners’ Club hosted a plethora of events, including a Frist Year-Second Year Partner Mixer, a Museum Trek, a evening of dining at Pho Pastueur, and much, much more. Currently, the club is looking for new officers for the upcoming elections, so if you’re interested in getting more involved in the club, check out the available officer positions in the Club Newsletter, which can be found on the club website at //wasat.hbs.edu/partners. Just a reminder that beginning this month, all Partners’ Club events are reserved for members only.
Tuesday, February 6th – Case Night. Wondering what your partner does all day? Come to the Partners’ Club Case Night and find out! Twice a year, a Harvard professor selects a case designed to be informative and enjoyable for partners. You read the case and prepare, just as the students do each night. Then, come to “class” and simulate your students’ daily routine and the famous “Harvard Case Study Method.” There is only one difference between our class and the students’: ours is no pressure and lots of fun! Join us with Professor Thomas DeLong in Aldrich Room 107 from 7pm to 9pm. Be sure to RSVP to Caroline Carroll at chloecpc@aol.com.
Monday, February 12th – Elections & Dessert Social. On Monday, February 12th the Club will be holding our Annual Elections and looking for members to fill the positions described in our newsletter. If you’re interested in any of these positions, please take a moment to speak with the current officer in more detail about the responsibilities and time commitment (which do vary, so there’s something for everyone!). Please forward any nominations onto Erika Murdocca by Friday, February 9th. Please keep in mind that most nominations are self-nominations; so don’t be shy, especially if you’re new here! The Dessert Social will be from 7pm to 9pm. Look for more information on where.
Tuesday, February 13th – Chilean Wine Tasting. Tarapaca Vineyards has graciously donated several bottles of their Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Zavala for us to enjoy. We will meet in the Peabody Common Room at 7pm. If you’re planning to attend, please RSVP to Carola Seefeldt Space is limited.
Tuesday, February 13th – Children’s Valentines Party. Come to the regularly scheduled playgroup on this day for some extra-sweet treats in celebration of St. Valentine.
Playgroups – Every Tuesday and Friday of the month, except as otherwise noted. The scheduled dates for the next two weeks are February 6th, 9th, 13th and 16th. Playgroup is held from 10am to noon in the SFP Common Room. For more information contact Batul Nafia Al-Saigh.
