NA Dominates

Perennial IM football powerhouse NA shook off a fluke opening season loss and resumed it’s march to the championship with a come-from-behind victory over an impressive NC team. After driving the length of the field to open the game, NA quarterback Daniel Pullin found offensive all-star Chris “The Velvet Glove” Taylor in the corner of the end zone for the game’s first score. The rest of the half remained scoreless as the NA defense stiffened against the scampering style of Shoney Katz, the NC quarterback and leading rusher. The second half opened in dramatic fashion, as an inspired NC team took the field on offense, and aided by a questionable pass interference call, evened the score. A scramble by Katz scored the extra point, and the score stood at 7-6. The two teams traded possessions, as NA was aided by two interceptions from defensive standout Patrick “I have floppy hair but I can still play football” Flood and numerous quarterback harassments by Gail “Crusher” Hodges. After a late interception, the NA offense began on their 3 yard line, with only 3:45 to go. A scramble by Daniel Pullin gave the offense some breathing room, and 3 consecutive completions placed the ball on NA’s 15, with less than a minute to go. Once again, it was “Velvet Glove” time, as Chris Taylor displayed Randy Moss-esque ups in going high to reel in the game winning pass, putting the finishing touches on a 12-7 victory. As standout cornerback Javier Ewing put it: “That’s the way it’s done.”
