Dear Mom,
Well, school is in “full swing,” meaning we have two classes a day, maybe three, and then spend the afternoon trying to get in as many additional activities as possible. I’ll try to example this with today’s schedule:
8:40 to 10:00-some class about an Italian mobile phone company called Omnitel that uses hot women to sell phones. Don’t tell Kathy, but this woman could have sold me a 25-minute plan with no night or weekend minutes for $200.
10:00 to 10:20 -everyone bum-rushed the professor to see if they could borrow that tape he played for us about the Italian cell phone model. He shoved it in his bag and took off with a grin.
10:20 to 12:00 -some class about, uhhh, well there was this CFO, ummm, Ernst & Young, uhhh, I don’t know. Some numbers go on the right of the T, some on the left, and we called it a day.
12:00 to 12:15 -I backed up a Chevy S-10 pick-up and had a few sectionmates help me haul away the flyers from my mailbox. Apparently, the only thing those second-year club presidents’ learned from marketing class was to use different colored paper for each flyer. The hot-pink “Pro-Wrestling & Business Club” flyer caught my attention so I’ll probably join. $30 and a free Hulkamania t-shirt-YES!
12:15 to 1:15 -waited in the sandwich line at Spangler.
1:15 to 1:30 -waited in the salad line at Spangler.
1:30 to 1:58-waited in the cash register line at Spangler.
1:58 to 2:00 -ate lunch.
2:00 to 2:45 -hooked up my high-speed wireless connection to download emails that I haven’t checked since morning. 468 new messages. Kathy wrote me one to tell me that she won’t be home in time for dinner and then I had 467 messages from the clubs that I mentioned above.
2:45 to 3:45 -special career services session. Apparently there are no jobs this year. Though, they say that by the time we graduate (assuming we are on the 9 year JD-MBA-MPP-MD program), there may be some unpaid internships in the ultra-hot cotton farming sector.
3:45 to 5:00 -went to an “Aquatic-Yoga for Pregnant Women” class. All the squash courts were booked, the work-out room was full, Tae-Bo wasn’t being offered today, and someone had already rented the new “Forearms of Steel” Video. I happened to have my bathing suit, so what the heck-I don’t think anyone saw me.
5:00 to 7:00-prepared two cases for tomorrow. Well, not really. I don’t have to do a write-up until late May of next year thanks to my 147 person study group. I really just watched TV in Spangler Grille. It was the Discovery Channel, so at least I’m not wasting my time.
7:00 to midnight-drinks at Shay’s.
Well, that was just one day. I am having a blast. Tell everyone I say “hello.” Send some money. See you soon when you come to visit.
Love, Mike
