For those of you fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to be in a relationship this upcoming Valentine’s Day (February 14 for those with short-term memories), the celebration will certainly include the ceremonious exchanging of gifts. For those of you on the giving side of the equation, this represents not only an opportunity to express your affection for that special someone, but also to renew your lifeline for the irresponsible and reckless behavior that you will certainly partake in during the remaining 364 days of the year.
In order to help get you all in the Valentine’s Day, gift-giving mood, the Harbus set about asking those who will give exactly what they had in store for their significant other this holiday season (Question 1). Then, we went about asking those on the receiving end just exactly what their expectations were (Question 2). Let’s just hope that the 4.0% expecting engagement rings have significant others who don’t attend HBS (see Question 1).
