Restaurant Reviews Are All In A Day's Work

A&E Co-Editor Cathy Ueng shares three of her favorite Boston dining venues with new and returning students.

Welcome to HBS for the new class of RCs and welcome back to ECs!

One perk of being co-editor of the Arts & Entertainment Section of The Harbus is that I get “paid” to try out interesting restaurants around the Boston metropolitan area for our readers. Through the paper, I get a partial reimbursement on the overall dining bill so of course, in order to fulfill my editorial duties, I eat out quite frequently.

Since my summer internship was not in Boston, I have not had the opportunity to add new reviews to the line up. However, I thought it would be worth sharing some of my old favorites with you from last year to ease back into campus and Boston dining. Please stay tuned because I will be back on the scene in the coming weeks to keep you updated on New England’s dining scene.

Additionally, ABC’s “Good Morning America” ran a summer series where news anchors tried out new jobs. Anchor Diane Sawyer spent the day as a dog walker and an ice-cream scooper. I now have the opportunity to extend this luxury to each of our readers.

If you are interested in writing a restaurant review for an establishment that has not been covered in previous issues, please send an email (cueng@mba2007.hbs.edu) to discuss article guidelines and reimbursement details. To find out if a restaurant has been previously reviewed, conduct an online search at www.harbus.org by placing the restaurant name in the search field.

Not a restaurant connoisseur? The same perk is available for pretty much any review pertaining to an arts & entertainment venue around Boston that the HBS Community is likely to have an interest in attending.

Happy dining!

Please Note: Review ideas must first be approved in order to receive reimbursement. There are a limited number of reviews budgeted each month so get your good ideas in early.
