Team 5 got its season off to an outstanding start by defeating a tough Team 1 with a score of 39-33. Team 5 was guided to an impressive first-half lead by team captain Jessica Gelman. Notwithstanding Gelman’s absence in the second half, Team 5 managed to hold onto the lead – an impressive feat given that this was the first time these ladies had played together. You can expect to hear a great deal more from this impressive group!
