In their second game, Team Ellie, formerly known as Team Five, continued their winning streak by defeating Team One. Team Ellie displayed their veritable talent, lead by “Dominator” Emily Sipe (HBS partner and mother of Ellie) with 16 points and “D-day” Diana Franke (OE) with 11 points. It was all about the boards on this night. Their strong showing was rounded out by a full team including: Erin Thomas (OE), Naomi Weinberg (OD), Jessica Wolfram (NJ partner), Katie Higgins (OE), Asha, Hillary Schubach (OC) and Pop Sriram (H).
Despite Team One’s strong push on the pace and good offensive ball movement, Team Ellie’s defense held Team One to 18 points. Team Ellie continues its WNBA look-alike season with this victory, 38 to 18.
