The Harbus NFL Pick ’em Contest came to a close over winter break, with a new champion dominating the field – the faculty’s Josh Coval. Holding the lead since week 4, Josh won with a margin of over 100 points, and finished more than 400 points above the last-place finisher, Daniel Pullin (OA). For his hard work in the individual field, The Harbus is pleased to award Josh with a $100 gift certificate for dinner at John Harvard’s. Congratulations Josh!
Josh’s high scoring and the steady play of Asis Martinez-Jerez led the Faculty to a close victory in the team competition over the EC squad of Misha Simmonds (NE) and Kevin Barhydt (NG). The EC team of Matt Stovcsik (OI) and Daniel Pullin stayed in the race until week 3, when Stovcsik laid the first of eight goose eggs between the two. For their hard work in the team field, The Harbus is pleased to award the Faculty team absolutely nothing (though they are free to wallow in campus supremacy for a year). Congratulations to the Faculty team!
Thank you to all contestants, and see you next fall for more football!
