HBS Runs Wild at Boston College

On a sunny afternoon in April, nineteen members of the HBS Running Club left the comfort of the Charles running paths behind and ventured to Boston College to take on the MBA 5K Challenge. 300 runners from schools as far away as Texas and Tennessee took part, and full teams were entered by most Boston schools, including BU, BC, and Sloan.

The HBS team dominated from the moment the gun went off, and strong performances were put in by all members. Most notably, Laban Phelps Jackson (NE) and Chris McIsaac (NJ) took second and third spots overall, while Jennifer Mitchell-Jackson (NE partner) took top honors in the women’s division and finished tenth overall. When the dust settled the combined times for HBS’ top four finishers was 1:12:18, edging out MIT and Boston College by several minutes to take home the team championship

On the wings of this victory the HBS team plans to continue tearing up the local racing circuit. The next event will be the James Joyce 10K on April 28th, and all members of the HBS community are invited to come out and take part.
