Baker Library and MBA Career Services have joined forces to provide access to the Insider Guide series offered by Wetfeet.com. The HBS subscription to the Wetfeet guides gives you 24/7 access to all of the Insider Guides.
The Insider Guides began in 1994 targeting the MBA job seekers’ market. These guides aim to provide the “inside scoop” on what it’s like to work for the companies and in the industries that appeal to MBA graduates.
Information in the guides comes from a “variety of private and public sources, including company recruiting literature, articles from the business press, interviews with company staff, and our own subjective analysis.” The series includes guides on twenty-seven companies and twenty-three industries. Also included are five guides on career management including resume preparation, salary negotiation, and job search communication.
While these guides are not the only resource that Baker Library and MBA Career Services offer to assist you with your job search, they are a good place to go to learn what it’s like to work in a company or an industry that Wetfeet profiles.
