The 2012 HBS Flag Football Season kicked off with action packed games featuring some of the school’s best football talent. The Class of 2014 proved they aren’t just brains in their first weeks with exciting flag football performances not just against each other but also against hurricane like winds and bouts of rain in week 1.
In Division 1, backed by impressive performances on both sides of the ball, NC established themselves quickly as one of the up and coming favorites. Led by quarterback Arick Morton and anchored by a stout defense, NC followed up a solid week 1 performance with a comeback victory down three touchdowns in week 2 to start the season undefeated. NA impressed on their first outing using a constant aerial attack led by Chris Kempner and Patrick Furlong (QB controversy anyone?) and a potent defense that led the league the first week with 4 interceptions.
After two weeks in Division 2, ND improved their record to a perfect 2-0 through solid offensive play (a combined 53 points in their first two games) and a ruthless defense www.replicaforbest.co.uk. However, the early championship favorite in the RC class goes to NJ. Behind QB Zach Heard and former college cornerback Melvin Ike, NJ cruised to a 46 point victory in week 1. However, week two showed the versatility and depth of the section as they narrowly beat out a very strong NF squad after trailing by 7 at the half replica breitling Aeromarine .
The season started out slow for the EC’s who could not play in week one due to inclement weather. OG continued their inspiring run for a second SA Cup with back to back wins to start the season 2-0. While neither game was particularly pretty, QB Pat Griffin was able to lead fourth quarter comebacks in both games to put NG atop the early season standings. The next few games will determine a lot in each division replica breitling bentley 6.75. Will OI continue their football dominance from last year and repeat as class of 2013 champions given their depth on both sides of the ball? Will OD, led by former Cal running back Michael “I’ve got all 5 forces” Porter, be able to withstand the toughest schedule in the class to fight for the school championship this year? Can Meka Asonye and the OA Pandas get over an early season loss to OC to make a deep run in the playoffs?
Stay tuned, this promises to be an exciting season with surprises in both classes.
