Modeling, HBS Style

The Annual Charity Fashion Show Returns

HBS is full of pretty models.  But on Tuesday March 29th, we went beyond macros and took it to a new level – real live people.

35 HBS Students and Partners seamlessly transitioned from brilliant men and women of business to radiant darlings of the runway, with the help of professional model coach Aileen Benson, hair stylists from Salon Marc Harris, and makeup artists Vicki Morgenstern, Melissa Russo, and Amefika Desir replica watches.  After grueling training sessions and extensive strutting in front of bedroom mirrors, they were ready to make their debut.

The show opened with the HBS ladies showing off a series of bright color-blocked looks from Ali Ro, pairing charming cocktail dresses with contrasting rain jackets.  Our handsome HBS gents immediately followed in Bonobos, an up and coming brand for the most stylish of financiers.

As the models poured out in rhythmic perfection, showcasing wearable city looks, the Designer & Retailer relations team (Casey Beick Keller, Amy Chan, Magda Davila-Vicente, Eilidh MacDonald and Hiba Siddiqui) used production line TOM lessons to rapidly dress models and send them along to our infallible CFO turned model-order guru, Maggie Hsu.

Students quenched their thirst at intermission with the aptly named “Crimson” cocktail – arranged through event planner Laura Perlman //www.replicaforbest.co.uk/replica-breitling-watches-sale-for-uk.html –  before sitting back for the second half of the style extravaganza, which began with trend-filled Ted Baker and ended with dapper looks from Nine Tailors.

The show ended with a speech from the remarkably attractive co-chairs, whose personal modeling careers were only cut short by challenges in the vertical dimension. We were reminded (as laid out in the programs designed by the talented Carol Choy) that all proceeds went to Dress for Success, an amazing international nonprofit organization dedicated to the economic empowerment of women around the world.  Dress for Success provides business attire, career support and development tools for disadvantaged women, allowing them to enter a virtuous cycle of self sufficiency.  The HBS Retail & Luxury Goods club was honored to support Dress for Success and the amazing work that they do.

After the show, attendees collected their goodie bags, which had been stuffed with treats by sponsorship chair Chidinma Asonye.

After the show it’s the afterparty, and that segment, dear readers, does not get published in the Harbus. Till next year. XOXO.
