Ever wonder “who’s the smartest group of people on campus?” Sure, we’d all probably agree that would be whoever maintains the perfect taste and temperature of the frosty cold beers down in the Spangler Grille – but let’s rule them out for the time being. Here at Harbus Sports, we’ve launched an “NFL Pick ’em” contest with pairs of Faculty, EC students, and RC students who were daring enough to step up to the plate and prove superiority once and for all. Each week, six members of the HBS community will pick NFL game winners against the spread and assign confidence points to those picks (from one to the number of games played, each confidence level being used only once). A correct pick wins the amount of confidence points you designated.
Not only will the participants be playing for individual fame and glory, but also they will be representing their peers on campus in a battle highly representative of life in the business world (think office pools). Here in the Harbus Sports section, we’ll provide periodic updates on the standings of both individuals and teams, as well as in-depth interviews to explore the participants and their strategies.
Representing the Faculty: Josh Coval and Asis Martinez-Jerez.
Representing the RC: Misha Simmonds and Kevin Barhydt.
And representing the EC, Daniel Pullin and Matt Stovcsik.
Acting as contest commissioner (participating as an individual but not on a team): Your ship’s Sports Editor.
Good luck to all participants and teams!
